Historic Weekend, marking the anniversary of the Battle of Lake Erie, is scheduled for September 11-13, 2026 at Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial. The National Park Service lists the event on its 2026 calendar, along with a separate Patriot Day Memorial Tribute on September 11. The Put-in-Bay tourism bureau describes living history demonstrations, small arms and artillery displays, historic encampments and educational programs, the Historic Weekend Parade on Saturday, and a memorial ceremony with wreath laying at Perry's Monument on Sunday. The tourism bureau states that all events are free and open to the public.
It is the island's largest September draw and will fill Put-in-Bay dockage and mooring over that weekend.
